Man rapes, uploads obscene video of a minor on website

Jaipur: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Rajasthan's Alwar town and the video of the crime then uploaded on a social networking website, police said on Tuesday. According to police, the victim's father registered a first information report (FIR) Tuesday with a police station at Alwar, some 150 km from Jaipur.

"The man says that a youth befriended his daughter on Facebook. He raped her a few months ago and made a mobile video clipping of the crime. The youth was blackmailing the girl on the basis of this video. He then recently uploaded the video on a social networking website," said Police Inspector Rajesh Varma.

The officer added that a relative of the victim saw the video and informed her family members about it on Monday.

"The father has identified the youth as Sameer Kumar in the FIR. The youth also belongs to Alwar. We have launched an investigation," said the officer....more
