Rajasthan: Rape accused attack victim's family

Alwar: The family of a Dalit woman who was gangraped by a group of men in Alwar district of Rajasthan has been attacked by the accused. Eight people have been injured and there is tension in the area following the attack in Tijara in Alwar district.

The police have set up a temporary picket near the victim's house.

According to the woman she was gangraped two days ago by some men. The police had registered a rape case against the accused following her complain.

However, some people, who according to the women are the ones who raped her, attacked her house. They carried out the attack to vent their ire against the woman for going to the police and filing a complaint. Her family is terrified following the attack. ...more
