Riled-up David Warner takes on journalists on Twitter New Delhi: In an unusual outburst early on Saturday morning, Delhi Daredevils' Australian batsman David Warner abused Australian journalists for writing against the Indian Premier League following the spot-fixing scandal that broke out earlier in the week on Thursday.

Warner's rant reportedly came after a column written by News Limited journalist Robert Craddock, which was published in The Daily Telegraph. Craddock has written on the perils of the cash-rich IPL and how it is the hotbed of corruption in cricket.

Warner - who is playing in the IPL as the vice captain of Delhi franchise - started his tirade at about 4 a.m. with a series of tweets and used language that is unbecoming of a Test cricketer. His tweets repeatedly had words like "p**ck", "sh**" and much more, to the extent of calling one respected journalist "an old fart".

News Limited journalists Malcolm Conn and Robert Craddock didn't take Warner's abuses sitting down, leading to a back-and-forth exchange between them and Warner....more
