'Sethu' to 'Paradesi': Why you should watch director Bala's films

Bala's 'Paradesi' has opened to an overwhelming response from the audience. The film may just turn out to be another cult film by the director who is noted for his excellent cinematic frames and has received National Award for his film 'Naan Kadavu' in the past. Here is a journey of Bala's film career.The film 'Paradesi' revolves around the plight of tea plantation workers during the pre-independence India. The film is inspired from a novel called 'Red Tea' by Paul Harris Daniel. Bala has added an ancient sophistication to the film.Bala's 'Paradesi' is rich in content and possesses a free flowing exuberance. The director roped in 200 junior artistes for various roles in the film. The film also stars Adharva, Vedhika, Dhansika in lead roles.
