Technical committee suggests D/N games in Vijay Hazare Trophy New Delhi: The Anil Kumble-led technical committee of the BCCI on Monday discussed the proposal of introducing Day and Night games in the National One Day Championship for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The only domestic one-day tournament that is played under floodlights is the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, but the technical committee that met under Kumble's stewardship, also wants Vijay Hazare Trophy matches to be played under lights.

"We even want the zonal ODI matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy to be day-night affairs. If Mohali or Kotla in the North or Chepauk or Chinnaswamy down south is hosting the matches, we can always have matches under floodlights. We already have coloured clothing and white kookaburra balls being used for List A games," a member of the technical committee told PTI.

As reported earlier, the committee also discussed about how monetary incentives could be provided to teams that will go all-out for outright results in the Ranji Trophy matches....more
