
New Delhi: Commemorating the 37th anniversary of the popular video game "Breakout", Google has come up with an easter egg that lets you play the old "Breakout" game - developed by Atari in 1976 - right inside the Google Image Search.
To play the game, go to Google Image Search and enter "atari breakout" into the search bar. On hitting enter, you won't be given images to browse through, instead a playable version of the game will appear and search results will be converted into breakable blocks.
Once the game is over, you can share your score on Google Plus. And if you are actually looking for images of Atari's Breakout game, then you can click on "return to image search" button.
If you are not aware of the game and are clueless as to how to play, then here is what all you need to do. In the game, a layer of bricks lines the top third of the screen. A ball travels across the screen, bouncing off the top and side walls of the screen. When a brick is hit, the ball bounces away and the brick is destroyed. The player loses a turn when the ball touches the bottom of the screen. To prevent this from happening, the player has a movable paddle to bounce the ball upward, and keeping it in play....
