
New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party, which is protesting at Janata Mantar in New Delhi against inflated electricity and water bills, said it will deliver 10,50,000 letters to the Chief Minister's residence on Sunday. The letters, addressing various issues in the city, have been written by the people of Delhi to the Sheila Dikshit government.
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is very happy with the response of the people and has said if his party will come to power in the 2013 elections, it will provide electricity at half the rate. "Out of 10.5 lakh people, let's assume 2 lakh people are not paying bills. It is a big number, it is a beginning. The awareness has been generated, The public has come together. Slowly and steadily people are taking fear out of their hearts," he said.
Few days back, Kejriwal had fasted for 15 days demanding reduction in water and electricity tariffs.
