One of the rare tastes of magical realism to Mollywood, Lijo Jose Pellissery's 'Amen' has completed 50 days in selected theaters down south. Providing the first big hit to the talented young director, the movie is still continuing in 20 release centers.
The movie seems to have made a clear profit of 3 crores, also considering its satellite rights, though the exact figures are yet to be out.
Featuring Fahad Fazil, Indrajith, Swathy and Rachana in the lead, 'Amen' has been in the news ever since its release with the tag of a 'divine comedy'.
Had the movie made better off the initial word of mouth, it could have ended up as a bigger hit with more impressive collections. Anyhow, the present hit status of the movie will definitely help the makers to experiment more with their new ventures....
