
New Delhi: The crime branch of the Delhi Police is probing the role of the officials of aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in granting fake pilot licenses.
BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who is also a qualified pilot, says the DGCA must probe how pilots with phoney degrees were allowed to fly.
As witnessed by investigations, it all started with the Rajasthan flying club, where the anti-corruption branch of the Rajasthan police is investigating the matters relating to one Rajasthan Flying Club. We are finding the same on the commander's license, which is the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) license, Rudy said.
It deserves a thorough investigation. I'm sure that all such fake licenses that do exist will be detected. I'm sure the DGCA will be able to do so, Rudy added....
