London: Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are locked at 0-0 after an eventful first half of their all-German Champions League final, with both sides spurning several chances to score.
Dortmund dictated play for the first 25 minutes at Wembley Stadium but Bayern had the best chances of the half, with Mario Mandzukic coming closest when his header was tipped onto the bar by goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller in the 26th. Arjen Robben then raced clear on goal in the 30th, but the onrushing Weidenfeller again made the save.
Before that, Manuel Neuer had been by far the busier goalkeeper, making a point-blank save from Jakub Blaszczykowski and diving to stop an effort from Sven Bender. Neuer also pushed away a shot from distance from Marco Reus and again stopped a close-range effort from Robert Lewandowski in the 35th.
