Flamengo in bid for Bologna defender Roger Carvalho

Rio de Janeiro: Flamengo are reportedly preparing a deal to secure Brazilian centre-back Roger Carvalho from Italian Serie A outfit Bologna.

The Rio de Janeiro club has sought the player's agent, Eduardo Uram, to negotiate a deal in the European summer transfer window, reports Xinhua.

Carvalho played under current Flamengo boss Jorginho at Brazilian top-flight club Figueirense in 2011.

The 26-year-old has managed just four first-team appearances for Bologna since his move from Genoa in July last year....more
