
New Delhi: Monsoons rains, arriving a month earlier than normal, have covered entire India. The heavy rains in Delhi and adjoining areas have seen the water level in the Yamuna River rising drastically and there is danger of the river overflowing the banks and flooding the low-lying areas.
So far eight lakh cusec of water has been released from Hathanikund barrage in Yamunanagar in Haryana. The water will reach Delhi by Monday evening.
