Mumbai: Two constables have been injured after a BMW car ran over them late on Sunday night. The incident took place around 1:45 am near a check-point at Peddar Road in Mumbai.
The police claim that the car refused to stop and ran over the cops and also hit another car. A male driver and a woman were inside the car.
The 28-year-old driver has been arrested and booked for rash and negligent driving. He has been sent for medical examination. Prima facie it has been alleged that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, the BJP's women's group will hold a protest on Monday against rash driving....
