Union Sports Minister M S Gill has restored a 1975 regulation in the government guidelines dealing with the tenure of office-bearers of sporting bodies including the Indian Olympic Association. The clause limits the number of terms for a sport administrator and also sets a retirement age of 70 for sport federation chiefs. Will a fixed tenure help the growth of sport in the country?
