
Turin: Juventus have announced they have completed the signing of Federico Peluso from Atalanta for a transfer fee of 4.8 million (4.1m). The 29-year-old spent the second half of the 2012-13 campaign on loan at the Bianconeri and has done enough to earn himself a permanent transfer and a contract until June 2017.
"Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces the exercising of the definitive acquisition right for the player Federico Peluso from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio S.p.A. for a fee of 4.8 million that will be paid over two financial years," a statement on the club's official website reads.
"This acquisition will generate economic and financial effects starting from 1 July 2013. The employment contract signed by the player will last until 30 June 2017." Peluso is a product of the Lazio youth academy, but never made it into the first team at the Stadio Olimpico side.
The left-back, who has been capped at senior level for Italy, wore the jerseys of Pro Vercelli, Ternana and AlbinoLeffe before joining Atalanta in 2009. ...
