Profile: Sethu to David, the journey of 'Chiyaan' Vikram

Vikram Kennedy Vinod is popularly called 'Chiyaan' and is considered one of the most acclaimed actors of the Southern cinema. The actor who made a debut in films in early 1990s has become the face of Tamil cinema today. Here is a look at the actor's career woven through his best works.

Vikram was born to a Christian father Vinod Raj and a Hindu mother Rajeshwari in a small town of Tamil Nadu.

The actor had no godfather. Vikram began his career by modelling for brands such as TVS Excel, Chola Tea. He was spotted by director CV Sridhar, who offered him his first break in cinema with the film 'En Kadhal Kamini'.
