
Ayyappan of Sri Devar Pictures, who is a close aide of Sun Pictures former CEO Hansraj Saxena, on Monday filed a police complaint against Sun Group. Ayyappan was accompanied by Saxena when he came to the Chennai City Police Commissioner's office to meet Commissioner S George to register his complaint.
According to Ayyappan, Sun Pictures had failed to pay Rs 24 crore to him and other distributors. He said that he was associated with Sun in distributing as many as 17 films.
It may be recalled that only recently producer-director Shakti Chidambaram filed a complaint against top officials of Sun Group, including its chief Kalanithi Maran, over the telecast of 'Kaavalan'.
