The stampede was caused after railing of an over bridge at the Allahabad railway station collapsed on February 10.Indian pilgrims sleep on a railway platform in Allahabad on February 10, 2013. At least 37 pilgrims attending the Kumbh Mela were killed in a stampede on an overcrowded staircase, according to Railway Ministry sources.Over three crore people gathered in Allahabad on Sunday to take a holy dip on the occasion of 'Mauni Amavasya' - considered the most auspicious day during the 12-yearly congregation.
