PMK leaders should mind their language: Karunanidhi
by IANS
Chennai: DMK president M Karunanidhi on Friday told PMK leaders -- especially the jailed S Ramadoss -- to mind their language and requested Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to release him on humanitarian grounds. Asked about the arrests of S Ramadoss and his son and former union minister Anbumani Ramadoss, the DMK leader said: "I am worried over the filing of cases and jailing PMK leaders for their hate speech at a function. S Ramadoss and his associates had started a campaign against Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu."

Condemning those fomenting caste rivalries, Karunanidhi said the government should stop its "oppression" and release the PMK party men from jail. Anbumani Ramadoss was arrested by Tamil Nadu Police at his residence in Chennai on Friday morning in connection with a speech he made at a public meeting in 2012.

S Ramadoss was arrested April 30 for defying police orders and holding protests at Villupuram, around 170 km from in Chennai.
