Gurunath Meiyappan betting in IPL since 2011: sources New Delhi: Investigation into the IPL spot-fixing scandal continues to shock the cricketing world with Mumbai Police sources now telling CNN-IBN that Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of the BCCI chief N Srinivasan, has been placing bets on IPL matches since 2011.

According to sources, Vindoo has revealed that Gurunath started with bets of Rs. 10 lakh that went up to Rs. 1 crore per match. Sources also add that Gurunath placed bets on three Chennai Super Kings matches this season and also placed bets on other games.

Gurunath's name surfaced while the police interrogated Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh, who had made several phone calls to Meiyappan in the last few months.

Gurunath, who has already been summoned by Mumbai Police for questioning, is the Team Principal and CEO of IPL franchise CSK that is owned by his father-in-law Srinivasan. Gurunath has reportedly bought time to appear before the police after the IPL ends on Sunday....more
