AAP calls off stir after Delhi CM accepts protest letters New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday called off its protest march to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's residence after she "agreed" to receive 10.5 lakh protest letters on "inflated" power and water bills but it announced gherao of the residences of Delhi MLAs in May.

The party also announced it will have 71 manifestos for the Assembly elections - one main and one each for 70 constituencies. After Dikshit's office accepted to receive the letters, AAP decided to call off their march but gathered at Jantar Mantar. The Arvind Kejriwal-led party had earlier threatened to go ahead with the march if Dikshit refused to receive the letters.

"They came and gave eight to ten bags full of papers saying these are certain letters. When my office opens on Monday, we will go through them and see what should be done," Dikshit told PTI.

AAP leaders said they have attained their "first victory" when they got a call this morning and the Chief Minister agreed to receive the protest letters written by 10.5 lakh Delhiites....more
