
Sauber boss Monisha Kaltenborn has admitted that a bigger budget would help the F1 team emerge from the slump in form witnessed so far this season.
Sauber had scored four podiums in 2012 including one in Canada but the C32 is in the middle of a poor season, remaining well off the pace with both Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Gutierrez retiring after crashes recently.
"The paradox is that the sport is very exciting, we are having very good races as a sport, so that part is working well,"Kaltenborn old Brazil's Totalrace. "On the other hand, it is very difficult to attract more sponsors, which has more to do with the global economic climate."
She admitted that the team needed additional funding to help it move ahead with development. "It's tough,and if we had more money, we could develop more quickly and probably get out of the situation that we are currently in. Now, we are always having to consider how much a new part is going to cost us."...
