After opting to bat first winning the toss, Shikhar Dhawan propelled Sunrisers Hyderabad to a big total with a quickfire fifty against Mumbai.

Parthiv Patel had got Hyderabad off to a terrific start clubbing four boundaries of the first over of the match bowled by Mitchell Johnson, but got out to Lasith Malinga after scoring 14-ball 26.

Chennai were off to a stellar start as rookie Ankit Rajpoot dismissed Ricky Ponting for 6 runs in the fourth over after Dirk Nannes got rid of Sachin Tendulkar for a duck in the first over.

Dwayne Bravo then dealt a double blow dismissing Rohit Sharma and the in-form Dinesh Karthik in a span of two overs to put Mumbai in trouble.

Kieron Pollard played the waiting game in the middle even as wickets fell around him in a heap and upped the ante when needed in usual hard hitting manner scoring 57 not out to propel Mumbai Indians to 148 for 6 in 20 overs.
