Probe reveals players allegedly acted as conduits for bookies New Delhi: The IPL spot-fixing net is getting bigger by the day. A third day og interrogation of the three Rajasthan Royals cricketers S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan, accused of spot-fixing, have revealed clear patterns of the murky deals that have shamed Indian cricket.

It now emerges that domestic and first class cricketers were allegedly acting as conduits for top bookies and players. After Jiju and Amit Singh, Delhi Police claims to have arrested a first class cricketer Manish Gudheva and is on the look-out for a former Railways player Baburao Yadav.

Police also arrested two more bookies even as Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar admitted to lapses in the investigation. "We were in a hurry to arrest the accused in Mumbai and bring them to Delhi, so we were unable to do a lot of the work that we were supposed to," he said.

On the third day of investigations, details also emerged on how Sreesanth was arrested. His car was intercepted by the officers of the special cell at Carter Road in Mumbai....more
