A search for 'BlackBerry outage' or 'BlackBerry down' on Twitter leads to numerous recent results with many being constantly added, hinting at a major service disruption.

In a tweet from its official Twitter ID BlackBerry said, "Some of our customers may be experiencing issues with BlackBerry services. We are investigating and apologize for any inconvenience."

This latest BlackBerry outage brings back memories of the infamous service disruption of 2011 that frustrated millions of its customers around the world.
