
New Delhi: Asian Games gold medallist Pinki Pramanik, described as male in a police chargesheet which also accused her of rape, on Wednesday said that she had not done anything wrong. She also blamed the police for torturing her.
"Everybody who said that they will support me is now keeping quiet. I feel bad about this. I have not anything wrong. Why am I being tortured? I feel like committing suicide. Police is torturing me," she said.
She also said that the police have some vested interest in harassing her. "Sports Ministry also sent me a telegram saying that they will support me. I don't understand why no body is speaking for me. I feel hurt. I have not done anything to Anamika (complainant). I won a medal for India. If I am being humiliated, India is being humiliated," she added.
Earlier, Pinki had said she would file a defamation case against investigators and a government lawyer....
