Team Anna asked not to make provocative speeches

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Sunday "requested" Team Anna to ensure that speakers at their protest site do not make any "provocative" speeches so that law and order situation in the capital is not disturbed.

A senior police official also dismissed allegations by some speakers that security personnel misbehaved with women while they were protesting outside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence on Saturday.

"These allegations were false and we have advised Team Anna leaders to ensure that such provocative speeches were not made from the dais which could affect law and order situation," he said.

At the venue, Team Anna member Kumar Vishwas claimed that authorities have sent him a notice asking him not to make any provocative speech from the dais....more
