
New Delhi: If a new report from The Verge is to be believed, Microsoft is working on a touch-enabled smartwatch and has asked Asian suppliers to ship components for the device. However, Microsoft has refused to comment on the rumours.
"Microsoft researcher Bill Buxton spoke at length on the 37-year history of smartwatches last month, possibly foreshadowing a return to the market," said The Verge.
It seems that all the major tech companies are endeavouring to come up with their own versions of wearable electronics. Speculations are rife that LG is also working on its own smart wristwatch. Though LG's watch is expected to come powered by Google's Android OS, there are speculations that it could run Mozilla's Firefox OS.
Besides, rumours are doing the rounds that Samsung and Apple are also in the race and may come up with their own versions of the smart wristwatch soon. Samsung is reportedly developing a wearable digital device similar to a wristwatch....
