New Delhi: Expressing confidence that the controversy over the Finance Ministry note on the 2G issue will be over soon, Congress on Tuesday dismissed the Opposition's demand for Home Minister P Chidambaram's resignation.
Law Minister Salman Khurshid had a meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence in the afternoon but there was no official word on what transpired there.
Top sources in the party indicated the matter would be resolved shortly and the issue is unlikely to snowball into some major crisis unless there is something very adverse from the Supreme Court, which is hearing the matter.
