Samsung @ IFA: Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Camera and more

At IFA 2012, Samsung unveiled a wide range of new products which include the much-awaited Galaxy Note II, the voice-controlled Galaxy Camera, Windows Phone 8 powered handset AVIT S, ATIV Smart PC, ATIV Smart PC Pro and AVIT Tab.

The Galaxy Note II features a 5.5-inch (140.9mm) HD Super AMOLED screen with a 16:9 ratio.

It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone will be available in two colours - Marble White and Titanium Gray.

Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 10.1

Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Note 10.1, an extension of the Galaxy Note category. The device has a 10.1-inch, and like its predecessor, this new device also comes with a stylus called the S Pen.

The device runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM.

It comes packed with a 7,000mAh Li-ion battery.

Samsung launches the Omnia M in India at Rs 16,400

Samsung has announced the launch of the Omnia M smartphone, which is the company's latest smartphone running Windows 7.5 operating system.

The Samsung Omnia M comes with a price tag of Rs 18,650, however, the phone is available on the Samsung India eStore for Rs 16,400.

Various e-commerce sites including Snapdeal.com and Flipkart.com are selling the Omnia M smartphone for Rs 15,900.

Samsung is all set to introduce its new projector smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy Beam - in India. The phone is available online for pre-order on the Samsung India e-store.

The Samsung Galaxy Beam's 15 lumens projector allows users to display and share multimedia content anywhere on a large luminous projector screen - walls, ceilings or improvised flat surfaces.

Powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, the phone has a 4.0-inch (480x800) TFT display.

Google, Samsung unveil new Chromebook, Chromebox

Google will try to win more converts to a computer operating system revolving around its popular Chrome Web browser with a new wave of lightweight laptops built by Samsung Electronics.

The upgraded laptop, called Series 5 550, is supposed to run two-and-half times faster than the original machines, and boasts higher-definition video.

Google also added features that will enable users to edit documents offline, read more content created in widely used Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel, and retrieve material from another computer at home or an office.
