Jagmohan Dalmiya names new BCCI team New Delhi: Jagmohan Dalmiya, who was on May 26 asked to take over BCCI's day to day activities by its members after its current chief stepped N Srinivasan stepped aside in the wake of the IPL scandal, has named his new BCCI team with Sanjay Patel from Baroda Cricket Association replacing Sanjay Jagdale as BCCI Secretary on Thursday.

Dalmiya in a press conference stated that the vacancy of BCCI Treasurer will be filled later.

Ajay Shirke and Sanjay Jagdale, who vacated their respective posts of BCCI Treasurer and Secretary had refused to withdraw their resignations despite board members' request. Dalmiya was chosen to take over the BCCI's workings after a long meeting of the cricketing body's board members in Chennai after under-fire N Srinivasan agreed to "step aside" his position as BCCI President.

After holding out for more than two weeks, Srinivasan had agreed to "step aside" in the meeting but maintained he will not discharge his duties till the probe in the IPL betting and spot-fixing scandal is over....more
