
Lucknow: A 17-year-old minor girl in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit is battling for her life after three young men allegedly set her on fire for resisting an attempt to molest her on Monday evening. The girl has been admitted in the hospital in a very serious condition and is undergoing treatment.
The heinous crime took place on Monday night when three youths tried to sexually harass the girl. When the girl protested and raised an alarm, the youths poured kerosene on her, set on fire and then fled from the spot, said police officials. The girl was rushed to Pilibhit civil hospital.
All the three accused and the girl are residents of Mohammad Beni Chowdhury area in Pilibhit. The three youths have been identified as Munna, Adnan and Amar.
