Land row: Congress targets MP CM over 'rampant corruption' New Delhi: The Congress has targetted Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after CNN-IBN exposed how prime land in Bhopal was given to his relatives and party members. Digvijaya Singh claimed this is one of the many corruption charges against the Madhya Pradesh CM.

"About 10 people in Chouhan's family were given membership and land. There is a provision that two members of a family cannot be given a plot but husband and wife have also been given plots. There is also a provision that any one who owns a house in MP cannot be made a member. There is rampant corrution and there are CAG reports against the Chouhan government, but unfortunately media doesn't pick them up," Digvijaya said.

Chouhan is in the midst of a row over allotment of prime land in Bhopal to his relatives. An RTI query has revealed how prime land that was allotted to other individuals was registered in the names of Shivraj Singh's cousins.

Even a court order stipulating returning the land to original allottees was not reportedly adhered to by the CM's family members. Chouhan is also accused of giving land to RSS and BJP workers. Nearly 50 acres of prime land was given to BJP workers across the state at throwaway prices. ...more
