
New Delhi: Two more of the eight men who allegedly gang-raped a 13-year-old girl in Delhi in March 2013 have been arrested, taking the total to five, police on Sunday said. The girl, who attempted suicide on Saturday, is stated to stable in hospital. "We have arrested two people in the case," a police officer told IANS but refused to divulge any more information.
Three people were arrested on Saturday, police said.
Meanwhile, the victim's mother told IANS that her "condition was stable and she has started to talk a little".
The girl, who was abducted March 15 by the men and released after nine days, consumed an overdose of sleeping pills on Saturday morning at her house in Farsh Bazar area in east Delhi....
