Football transforms lives of youth in Valley Srinagar: A group of young football fans in Kashmir has transformed themselves from being known as a bunch of rowdy stone-pelters to being the future of sports in the state.

The six young faces have done Kashmir proud and are now headed to the football mecca of Sao Paulo where they will get tips from former Brazilian soccer legends.

One of them, a tailor's son, Imran Bhat, spent weeks in jail after he pelted stones at security officials. Another Basharat Baba, whose father is a former militant, fought hard to secure clearance from the Jammu and Kashmir police.

Bonded by their love for the game, both are very excited....more
