Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth without provocation, says Nanavati New Delhi: Justice (retd) Sudhir Nanavati, who headed the slapgate inquiry between Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth during one of the games of the inaugural edition of the IPL, on Friday said that there was no provocation from Sreesanth's part and the Kerala pacer was indeed slapped by Harbhajan.

In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, Nanavati said that Harbhajan did slap Sreesanth and the security prevented him repeating that for the second time.

"Harbhajan used the backside of his right palm to slap Sreesanth," Nanavati told CNN-IBN. He further said that there was no provocation from Sreesanth part and the incident was the result of a dressing room spat that took place between the two a year ago from the incident.

"There was no provocation. Both Harbhajan and Sreesanth told that before a year back, in a domestic match, there was an exchange of words in the dressing room. The whole incident was captured on a camera in the dressing and the footage was under the control of then IPL commissioner Lalit Modi," he added....more
