New Delhi: Former captain Sunil Gavaskar on Friday suggested that BCCI should approach senior players such as Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni to bring about improvements in system so that youngsters could be stopped from going astray.
"What the BCCI can do is to ask the guys on the ground, guys like Dhoni, Tendulkar, Kumble and Dravid. They should come together because they know what was exactly happening on the ground, they can feel and sense because they are moving in the same circles," Gavaskar said.
"These are the guys who would know the signs in dressing room, whether somebody is going astray or not. These are the guys who the BCCI should be talking to. They would be able to give an idea about a system which should be put in place so that these things do not happen in future or to the extent its is happening," he told NDTV.
Gavaskar said Rajasthan Royals, whose three players, were found allegedly involved in the spot-fixing scandal, should be allowed to continue to play in the tournament. "Rajasthan Royals should be allowed to continue. These three players would be weeded out, may be handed life ban some day pending an enquiry. But Rajasthan Royals as a team should not be penalised for wrongdoings of just of their three players," he said....
