Bollywood stars dazzle at the Teacher's Achievement Awards

It was a starry night indeed. Mumbai saw the who's who of B-town and a much more apart the fashion melodrama at the 12th Teacher's achievement award.

Pretty Yukta Mookhey was spotted in an elegant black gown at the event.

'Chak De! India' actress Vidya Malvade was out in a red hot one shoulder gown.

Telugu Friday: 'Siva Thaandavam', 'Sorry Teacher' & more

Directed by AL Vijay, action thriller 'Siva Thaandavam' is a revenge story. It is a Telugu version of Tamil Film 'Thaandavam'.

'Siva Thaandavam' stars Vikram in the lead role opposite Anushka Shetty. Amy Jackson and Lakshmi Rai will also be seen in important roles.

Vikram plays a visually challenged man with echolocation skills in the film.

Teachers Day: 10 Bollywood actors who were teachers in real life

Despite an established career in theatre and films, veteran actor Utpal Dutt continued to teach English at the South Point School in Kolkata.

Akshay Kumar was a martial arts teacher in Mumbai before starting his Bollywood career. It was one of his students who recommended him for modelling.

After completing a Masters from the Delhi School of Social Work, Nandita Das started teaching in Rishi Valley School, continuing with theatre on the side.

Gold-digger Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz), sleeps through classes, drinks and smokes heavily, and even curses her students.

Love-hating, stubborn, conservative - Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) plays the principal of a Gurukul in Mohabbatein (2000). However, through the coarse of the film he realises how over-disciplining his students can lead to rebellion.
