
Thane: The Thane city police arrested a doctor from a hospital on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a patient, the police said on Thursday.
Sub-inspector AP Daundkar of the Naupada police station told PTI on Thursday that the patient, a 45-year-old housewife, had got herself admitted to the Sahayog Hospital in the Naupada locality.
Allegedly, on Tuesday when nurses had left for the day, the accused who was on the night shift entered the patient's room, pretended to treat her, molested her twice and attempted to sexually assault her, the complaint said.
The victim lodged complained to the police after she was discharged from the hospital, as she feared that the doctor would harm her if she raised an alarm while she was in the hospital, the complaint said....
