
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has pulled up the Gujarat government once again, this time over the appointment of part-time teachers instead of full-time ones in primary schools. The apex court was critical of the Modi government's policy of appointing Vidya Sahayaks in place of teachers in primary schools.
It has questioned the government on ignoring the Right To Education Act. The apex court has asked the state government to provide the qualification details of all Vidya Sahayaks by Wednesday.
The apex court also lamented the lack of attention given to education in the country.
