
Coimbatore: The national flag was on Friday found hoisted upside down atop the District Collectorate building in Coimbatore, causing embarrassment to the officials. Visitors to the collectorate in the morning were surprised to see the tri-colour flying upside down and brought it to the notice of some officials.
As the media persons started taking photographs, a staff in the revenue department brought down the flag and hoisted it again properly, an official said. The issue had been taken to the notice of District Collector M Karunagaran.
