
Karachi: Pakistan cricket head coach Dav Whatmore does not believe that the Test drubbing his team got in South Africa early this year will impact their performance in next month's ICC Champions Trophy in UK.
Pakistan were whitewashed in the three-match series with no Test going into the fifth day and since Whatmore took over as coach in March last year, the team has not been able to win any of six Test matches.
Whatmore told Pakistani journalists in Ireland that losing Test series to Sri Lanka and South Africa was not a concern for him. "One-day cricket is a totally different ball game and we have a good one-day side although I would say our Test squad is more settled," he said.
"The Test squad has been playing well and it didn't do badly against Sri Lanka. We were also done in by some bad umpiring decisions in the Galle Test. But the results against South Africa was not an easy pill to swallow. We knew they were strong but we still had a chance to do little better," he added....
