Have the best cell in prison: Anuj Bidve's killer London: Kiaran "Psycho" Stapleton, who shot dead Indian student Anuj Bidve last year claims he has the "best cell" in his wing and knows "loads of people" in prison. Stapleton was sentenced to life in prison after he shot 23-year-old Bidve, in the head in Salford, Manchester, on December 26, 2011.

In a letter shown to The Sun, he brags: "I sit in my cell waiting for Emmerdale and Coronation Street and eating chocolate."30 isent (sic) that long I don't think enyway I can do it standing on my head 'ha'," the report said.

The note was passed to The Sun by an outraged reader following its 'Say No To Soft Justice' campaign. "The source, who didn't wish to be named, said: 'It's clear Stapleton doesn't care that he's in prison. He thinks he has a cushy life in there. It's disgusting,'" the report said. Despite his boasts, Stapleton pleaded with Court of Appeal judges for a sentence reduction. It is believed he asked for his age and mental health problems to be taken into account.

The judges reserved judgment in the case to a date to be fixed. Bidve had arrived in the UK to study micro-electronics at Lancaster University and was visiting Manchester with a group of friends last Christmas....more
