
New Delhi: In tune with India Cements, the owner of the Chennai Super Kings, distancing itself from Gurunath Meiyappan, the Chennai Super Kings' official website seems to have scrubbed all references to the BCCI chief N Srinivasan's son-in-law.
The India Cements statement said Gurunath Meiyappan "is neither the Owner, nor CEO/Team Principal of Chennai Super Kings," but numerous pages (now deleted) on chennaisuperkings.com referred to Meiyappan as 'Owner' or 'Team Principal'. The pages include press releases and news reports that were reproduced on the website.
Meiyappan had also changed his bio on Twitter to remove his connections with CSK.
Meiyappan has been summoned by the Mumbai Police for questioning after arrested Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh told the police that Meiyappan was involved in betting on IPL matches. ...
