UP: Female police officer caught on camera slapping 3 women Aligarh: Another instance of violence against women by the Uttar Pradesh police has surfaced. A policewoman in Aligarh was caught on camera thrashing three middle-aged women.

The women had gone to the police station to question why their sons were kept in the police station for three days on complaint of theft. The mothers were not given any information on their sons' arrest and alleged that the police were not listening to them.

"My child is lying in the jail. We pleaded the police to release him but they are not listening to us. My child is in a poor condition. They are having no mercy on my child," one of the the women said.

Some residents of a Lucknow village handed over six minors to the police. The residents say the minors were caught stealing in the area. ...more
