Suspecting wife, man kills three children, self in UP

Lucknow: A man killed his three children on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh and committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a speeding bus, police said. He suspected his wife to be in an illicit relation with one of his relatives.

The gory incident took place in the Robertsganj area of Sonebhadra district, over 400 km from Lucknow, when on pretext of taking them out for a treat Babulal first strangulated his three children, Manisha (4), Anamika (2), and Manish (1), and then committed suicide by jumping before a speeding bus.

Inspector General (IG) Law and Order RK Vishwakarma told IANS that Babulal had come to know recently that his wife allegedly was in an illicit relation with one of his relatives.

When he confronted his wife with this, the two fought bitterly. Later, he went out of the house and took his three children along, saying that he was taking them for an outing. Police have sent the bodies of the four people for post-mortem examinations, officials said....more
