From Nokia's most affordable Windows phone 8 smartphone to Karbonn's feature-rich, budget phablet, many gadgets hit the Indian market last week. Here is a list of the gadgets launched in India last week.

Nokia launched its two new Windows phone 8 smartphones - Lumia 520 and Lumia 720. The former is priced at Rs 10,500, while the price of the Lumia 720 has not been announced yet.

The Dream D1 is an Android smartphone with a 4.65-inch display. The phone is powered by a quad-core smartphone clocked at 1.2 GHz. It is priced at Rs 17,999.

HP ElitePad 900: The Windows 8 tablet with smart jackets launched at Rs 43,500

Hewlett Packard launched its business tablet - HP ElitePad 900 - in India at a price of Rs 43,500. The tablet runs Microsoft's latest Windows 8 operating system.

It features a 10.1-inch diagonal display, weighs 1.5 pounds and measures 9.2 mm thin.

The 16-by-10 aspect ratio is said to maximise the display area. The HP ElitePad uses CNC-machined aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

Lenovo's Windows 8 notebooks launched in India

Lenovo announced the launch of two new Windows 8 notebooks in India - IdeaPad Y500 and IdeaPad Z500.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 features a carbon fiber patterned cover, 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display.

It runs Windows 8 OS, and is powered by up to 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor.

Lenovo announced a new family of four convertible devices, which are designed for Windows 8/RT OS - the IdeaPad Yoga 13, Yoga 11, IdeaTab Lynx, ThinkPad Twist.

ElitePad 900: HP unveils Windows 8 tablet with 'smart jackets'

HP introduced a new tablet - the HP ElitePad 900 - which runs Microsoft's latest Windows 8 operating system. It features a 10.1-inch diagonal display, weighs 1.5 pounds and measures 9.2 mm thin.

The HP ElitePad tablet has a 1080p front-facing video camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. The camera also includes CyberLink YouCam software.

The tablet features HP ElitePad Smart Jackets, which add connectivity options and an additional ultra-slim battery for longer runtime, along with specific add-ons that customise the tablet for specialised uses.

Intel-powered Windows 8 tablets

Intel previewed a wave of Windows 8 tablet computers powered by microprocessors that the company redesigned to make a bigger dent in the rapidly growing mobile market. The tablets won't go on sale until October 26 when Windows 8 is released. The prices for the various machines will be revealed during the next few weeks.

Acer Iconia W510: The Acer ICONIA W510 comes in a hybrid design. Powered by the Next Generation Intel Atom processor Z2760, it has a 10.1-inch HD screen, measures 8.9mm (.39 inches) in thickness and weighs just 1.27 pounds with keyboard dock. It offers 32GB or 64GB of storage options.

Asus VivoTab: It has a high-resolution widescreen Super IPS display with ASUS TruVivid Technology. The ASUS VivoTab has an 11.6-inch screen, 64GB of storage, weighs only 686g and measures 8.3mm.
