Dark Knight: The highest grosser this year is a sequel to 2005's Batman Begins. The Dark Knight became the third-biggest box office movie of all times with a whopping $441 million to its credit. Based on the Batman graphic novel, Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saw Christian Bale reprise the lead role but one can only speak volumes of Heath Ledger’s Joker act.
