Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar was awarded with the with the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement award at the BCCI awards function in Mumbai.
Sachin Tendulkar was also honoured at the BCCI awards for scoring his 100th international ton.
Gavaskar described the award as "the biggest in Indian cricket" and dedicated this award to the Indian cricket fans.
Virat Kohli was named the Indian Cricketer of the year, and got the Polly Umrigar Award trophy and a cheque of Rs. 5 lakh.
Sachin thanked the BCCI for always standing by him, whether he was performing or not performing or when he was injured.
