The storyline of the movie is based on a character named Nandagopal who works in a restaurant in the day, while he is an undercover social activist in reality.
Actor Mohanlal, SN Swamy and Joshiy are working together after 22 years in this movie. Mohanlal and Swamy worked in 'Naduvazhikal' in 1989 and the actor was seem in 'Run Babby Run' in 2012 directed by Joshiy.
The music of the film is given by Ratheesh Vegha and the lyrics are written by Rafeeq Ahammed.
The movie is to be produced under the banner of Happy and Ruby Cinemas.
The General Sectary of the All Kerala Mohanlal Fans, SL Vimal Kumar, alongwith Vijayakumar and Balan Vijayan are the producers of the film.
The film was launched on September 10, 2012 after puja ceremony which was held in Kochi.
The film is revolves around the theme of corruption, however, the movie is not overtly political.
The film is been shot at the locals of Kochi currently.
Joshiy, the director of the movie 'Lokpal' made his debut with Tiger Salim (1978). He has also directed movies like New Delhi, Mail, Runaway.
Mohanlal has been honoured by Padama Shree Award by the Government of India.

Mohanlal is considered as one of the most acclaimed actors of Malayalam Cinema.
Mohanlal has acted in Telugu, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films as well.
Kavya Madhavan is the lead actress opposite Mohanlal.
Krishna Kumar, Thalaivasal Vijay, Maniyanpilla Raju are also part of the film.
The film will be released on January 31, 2013.
